Mobile One opened in the winter of 2002. We realized there was a need for a performance-oriented foreign car specialists in the Chicago area that also has a strong background in automotive electronics.

Over the last 8 years we have grown into a 3000+ square-foot facility housing 4 lifts, and a 2wd dynamometer. We have a full array of fabrication equipment , as well as the latest diagnostic test equipment. We have performed over 30 unique engine swaps between makes/models/chassis of German and Japanese cars, with the majority of them spanning more than 5 years between engine and chassis. We are also nearing completion of a full AWD transplant into a mk2 jetta from an 04' R32 using all the donor cars' rear suspension. This is going into a car that already has a big turbo 1.8t swap making over 400 WHP to the wheels on 93 octane. We also tune and install standalone engine management systems. As you might expect, in addition to all this, we do any type of general repair / maintenance that you may need on any make or model of foreign car.

In addition to general maintenance and performance upgrades, we also offer Unitronic software available for most VW and Audi vehicles. We also sell OE replacement parts as well as used spares. In addition, we rebuild VW and Audi manual transmissions in-house. There is no job too big or too small we are capable of handling!
